National Judges Cup '08
The 18th annual National Judges Cup Gymnastics Championships took place in San Diego, CA on Friday, January 4 through Sunday, January 6, 2008 at the San Diego Concourse. The participants and judges represented came from all over the country... MI, NV, ME, AL, MS, IL, IN, KY, NorCA, SoCA, TX to name a few.. The Level 7 State Championship was sensational, Washington took second placed to Southern California while Northern California captured third place. The routines were phenomenal! Hilary Carlson - raffle winner of bottle Champaign, each State Judging Director required to bring something from their state to donate for a raffle among the judges. Mamie Vetters won a book on light houses and a light house ornament from Connecticut. Michael Crowe donated a Louisville Slugger baseball bat, a gift everyone raved over it.
Our Kentucky Mexicans - Mamie Vetters & Pat Brainer enjoyed an adventure on the trolley around San Diego & Mexico while they took a day off from judging NJC despite the weather as it rained the entire weekend. The trip to Mexico is just 30 minutes South of San Diego.
